Filtreau Drum Filter
This is a low maintenance filtration system that can be installed as pump or gravity fed and provides clear, healthy water, without the need to perform daily maintenance. The system comes standard with a 40 watt UV-C Amalgam lamp built in to ensure clear water. The sophisticated design and build quality of the system results in high intensity UV-C radiation with a wavelength of 253.7nm. This high dose of irradiation ensures almost all bacteria, viruses and fungi are killed. With its intelligent electronics the device provides a warning when the UV-C lamp is no longer producing enough radiation and requires replacing.
Designed for ponds up to 5000 gallons these Filtreau Drum filters have two 4″ (110mm) inlets and one 110mm outlet for connection of the circulation pump, and one 4″ (110mm) outlet for the waste.
The system has a 60 micron screen which ensures particles are filtered out of the ponds water automatically with the automatic cleaning process that is built into the drum. Sensors monitor the water levels within the drum filter and active a cleaning cycle to ensure that all waste particles are removed and once the cleaning cycle is complete flushed out.
There are two options available for this backwash process, you can either connect the drum up to the mains water supply and use mains water to clean the drum or a optional pressure pump can be purchased which will be controlled by the drums built in controller and use the water held within the drum to clean the drum’s screen.!
